I need ideas and ways too keep my car clean!?

My parents just recently bought me a 1994 Toyota Camry. I love it so much, but I have the toughest time keeping it clean. I wash it at least once a week, and everytime I get spots or a stupid bird craps on it. Its a metallic green color and it shows so much dirt. Does anyone have andy technique or idea on how too keep it clean? (: Thanks so much!!
